Notes on a property

The Notes tab holds free text about the lead. Anyone signed in can add a note at any time, from the property page or from a route stop.

Notes versus event notes

Both exist and they are not the same thing.

A note on an event is part of the record of one contact. It describes what happened during that knock or that call, and it is fixed once the edit window closes.

A property note is standing information about the lead. Gate code, dog, best time to catch someone in, what the neighbor said. It is not tied to a moment.

Use an event note for what happened. Use a property note for what someone should know before going.

Editing and deleting

You can edit and delete your own notes.

Deleting someone else's note requires the Edit team records permission, the same one that covers editing and deleting anyone's logged activity.

Where notes appear

Notes show on the property page, are selectable in the share composer, and are included in a lead export.
