Logging a knock or a phone call
Recording what happened, and what the Vacant switch does.

Anyone signed in can log activity on any lead. No permission is needed.
Open Log event from the property page or from the route. One dialog covers both kinds of contact.
Pick the type first
The toggle at the top switches between Knock and Phone Call. It changes three things: the outcomes offered, the notes placeholder, and whether the Vacant switch appears.
Get this right before you save. The type is what separates door work from phone work everywhere else in the app, including the leaderboard and every knock filter.
Notes
Optional, and worth writing. Notes are the part your future self and your teammates actually read. They appear on the property's activity, in exports, and in the share composer.
Vacant
The Vacant switch only appears on a knock, because vacancy is something you can only see by standing there. A phone call never changes it.
The switch sets the property's current state, so turning it off on a later knock clears it.
Saving
There is no separate save button. Each outcome is its own button, and tapping one records the event. That keeps logging to a single tap once you have picked the type.
What logging changes
Recording a knock updates the lead's last-knocked time, its knock count, and the knocked-today badge. It can also change the lead's status if your company has an automation rule set up for that outcome.
Recording a phone call updates the activity timeline and nothing else. It does not make the door look visited.
