Fixing your own outcome

You can change the outcome of an event you logged for 10 minutes after logging it. This covers the common case: the wrong button, tapped in a hurry, noticed immediately.

The window applies to every type. A mistyped outcome on a call is as fixable as one on a knock.

After 10 minutes the event is history and you cannot change it yourself.

Past the window

Editing an outcome after the window, editing someone else's event, or deleting an event at all requires the Edit team records permission. The same permission covers deleting anyone's notes.

That is a deliberate split. Correcting your own slip is ordinary work. Rewriting the record of what the team did is a different thing, and it is granted separately.

What editing an outcome does not undo

If the original outcome triggered an automation rule that changed the lead's status, editing the outcome applies the new outcome's rule but does not roll back what the first one already did. Check the lead's status after correcting an outcome that you know fires a rule.

Notes on events

The notes on a logged event are part of that event. Add context that arrives later as a property note instead, which anyone can add at any time.
